Title: Saving Private Ryan (Post Production Demo)

Project Description: This was an early project for my Digital Audio Production class. The purpose was to assemble all the dialogue, SFX, foley, backgrounds, and music for a short film clip. The highlight of this project is my sniper foley. Whereas almost all other elements were obtained from an SFX library, the sniper foley (including all mechanical loading noises and handling) was created by me. To accomplish this, I layered a very large number of my own sounds and lined them up to the visual actions on screen. It was a painstaking process to get all the various clicks and noises to line up accurately to the visual movements of the loading mechanism.
Some of the things I recorded for layering onto the gun foley included: A door lock, mic stand, electric guitar pickup switch, guitar case latch, headphone/instrument cables, wrench, belt buckle, and a lamp switch.
